Poisonous Spiders

Okay, only one spider, really. I was in a botanical garden on a field trip when I saw some random body of water I wanted to look at. Leading my friends, I walked right between two trees around three feet apart: nothing to worry about, right? Wrong. I walked directly into the web of a 3 or 4 inch long spider that happened to be black and yellow, which generally means poisonous. Chills. .
I got a bad picture of it, my camara wouldn't focus.
Arachnaphobia is healthy.
Here are some flower pictures that inspired my style to that summer transition of light, flowy things. I'm sorry, I don't have any outfit pictures because my camara is currently MIA. But when I do find it, I will post some simple DIYs that can spruce up or completely gut a piece that could improve the look of an outfit. (Doesn't it sound like I'm on a diet pill infomercial?)

Broken Nets

As my sister and I took pictures, I saw the coolest soccer net and I immediately began to pose with it. Well, slight malfunction. I accidently pulled the bars apart. No worries, I fixed it immediately and, in my defense, someone stole the screws that hold it together. So, not my fault. Also, I love this scarf with a passion. Observe:

I wore striped hot pink polo, a white mesh tank under, loose cargo shorts, and, of course, a floral scarf.

Little White Dress

Normally, I'm opposed to white things unless there's an element of black somewhere else in the outfit, but the dress dress below is jest so light and pretty, but not my normal style. In my defense, I wore it to church a few weeks ago now (I'm so behind in posting. . .). I have to give props (does anyone know what 'props' are?) to the designer, Lily Pulitzer. It looks fantastic. You might not be able to see it, but there is some beastly wonderful embroidery on the sides of it.

The Funniest Sign of Your Life

Observe the street sign and tell me what is wrong:

Blue embroidered dress tucked into a denim mini-skirt, with a white sweater, and pink tights.
Lately, I look in my closet and my dresser and find my clothing painfully limited to very few choices. I don't wear at least three-quarters of my clothing and probably more, as I never really liked them and don't know why I bought them. I told my mother this and she nearly had a cow. I love her, but really, "You have so many clothes!" It's true, but as I tried to explain, I have few that I can wear. I was contemplating a rumage sale and using the money from that to finance new clothing, but that is not permitted in my area and I really wanted to talk to the putuckuses who made that law. I could make an ebay account to sell my junk. . .

People Stare When You Wear Something Cool. . .

And that's okay! It's perfectly acceptable to stare at me when I'm wearing an amazing outfit! Now, I might question the sanity of people when they stare at me when I'm not wearing something amazing. I went to a grocery store the other day wearing this 'cool' outfit. I mean it wasn't my best, but I think people just have the tendency to stare at those people with slashed clothes. I mean people were staring staring. And it was getting on my nerves, so I got my deli sliced turkey and rushed my mother so we could leave soon.
Maybe it looked untasteful, tacky, just bad? You tell me:
I wore a white tee shirt denim mini-skirt, dark grey tights, and a DIYed yellow scrap vest.

Too Dark for Outside

Yes my picture is taken in my room this time. I'm super behind on my posts. This is one of three outfits still on my camera. I never get to go on the computer. . . I believe I wore this on Friday, yes, for setting up and putting on a play. I had to wear this thing on my head that messed with my hair the one day I actually put any effort into it at all and I, no I'm sorry, my sister corrected me, she took these pictures after we (meaning my family) got back home and it was too dark to
go to the great outdoors *sad face*.

I wore a lace tee shirt, Target, over a purple tee, Michael's, and straight-legged jeans from American Eagle.
This is what I meant by good hair (for me anyway).

Alone on the Swings

I've been feeling very goth-y lately and I have no idea why. But, it produced a very cool outfit (though it's more rocker girl than goth girl). I've been feeling uninspired lately, but don't worry, there will be more pictures coming your way now that I have a new iPod to inspire me. I used to carry around a CD player all the time. Anyway, this is what I wore Friday, I think it was Friday. . . No, this is what I wore on Saturday:

I wore a plaid jcpenny skirt, sister's black tee, my thrifted sweater (have I mentioned how much I love that thing?), and DIYed lace socks (were tights, cut off top part to make really tall, loose socks).
