Shorts!

These pictures I took when my bestie came all the way from Jupiter to visit me! I love it when he comes, it just makes everything so much more fun, and most of my other friends are gone for vacation, so I'm mostly alone, which, of course, sucks.
I'm wearing a navy tank top, houndstooth shorts, a brown belt, a grey blazer, blue tights, and Converse.
This is my bffl, Damian, who can be found at theboyfromplanetjupiter.blogspot.com

Ice Skater Dress

This is my new Rodarte for Target dress. It has much awesomenosity and it looks a bit like an ice skater dress, which is fine because it rocks. I don't really know what to say, so enjoy this half-formed outfit and the curling iron next to my foot. :)

Thanksgiving

Well, I wasn't going to get dressed at all on Thanksgiving.
Yes, turkey in pajamas.
Well, my sister's boyfriend was going to come over, so I figured dressing was required. . .
I decided to wear this; her boyfriend couldn't even come.
I was dressed for no reason.
But, the awesomeness of this outfit excuses the fact that I had to get dressed at all on a holiday.
I wearing a houndstooth pencil skirt, a navy 3/4 sleeve shirt, a 10-foot scarf of my own construction, and Chucks.

Oligopoly

I wore this outfit the other day when I went to my friend's house to play the new Monopoly City. A factory was put up in front of my residencial building and it was worth nothing. . . I always end up Bankrupt, which kind of sucks. . . We don't really play it properly. . . We form oligopolies. . .
I wore a button down shirt as a vest, a white v-neck, skirt with ruffles, blue tights, and a 10 foot scarf of my own construction.

Here is me crawling to the camara to see the pictures my sister was taking. I found it entertaining, so here it is. ;)

Just a Day in the House. . .

Well, I obviously wasn't in my house the whole day because I clearly had to leave it to take this picture. . .
I also went to Target in the morning and bought two amazing skirts (one of which is pictured here) and four pairs of tights in various colors.
I got home and was going to do homework, so I wanted to be comfortable. . .

I'm wearing an upside-down tee shirt, previously white, then pink tye-dye, then I tried to dye it black and it came out with this really deliscious grey, a printed satiny skirt form Target, and a white v-neck.

Bloop!

Hi. I'm not really sure what to write about so I won't bother at all.
Here are some pictures of something I wore some time ago, standing in front of my bookcase/desk thing.

Black cardigan, was a long-sleeved shirt from Target, I cut it down the middle because I needed a sweater, skirt, my sister's, floral half-shirt, thrifted at the salvation army.

Giants

Okay, I was taking pictures and my sister was like, "Do something!", so I put my hands on the ceiling and made a weird face and she was like, "No, I like that," so followed a series of quite uncomfortable poses involoving the loss of blood to my arms. I picked these photos because I dwarf my front door and it looked funny and cool.

I'm wearing a graphic tee shirt with a sleeveless blue button down that used to have sleeves as a vest of sorts, skinny-ish jeans in a dark wash.
This is before we got the giant idea, but it showcases the outfit better.

Lately, I've been quite lonely, as most of my friends have ventured off to have fun elsewhere, leaving me alone. :( . . . But, that's fine, because they're coming back soon so, you can expect posts more often, I promise.
Okay, I wore this outfit to the mall with one of my new big hair bows. I mean, I know when I'm out, someone is going to say something about me wearing one of them, but, whatever. They are so cool. And big. And floppy. Yay!!!

Blue, cotton dress, cream ruffly socks, cream tank, faux pearls, and, of course, a huge bow.

Back to the Blogisphere!

Okay, I have been AWOL for over a month, you may be wondering why.

I cannot find my camara.

So, for today's post, I was forced to use my sister's. A trajedy, really, she's afraid I'll loose hers too, which is impossible with her taking the pictures and then bringing it back up to her room, but what are you going to do, right?

Okay, so, where I live the summer is excruciatingly hot, which means that, whether I like it or not, I'm embracing summer fashion. This being said, I was going for a light look, which believe I accomplished nicely with a few layers as possible.

Graphic tee, floral skirt, thigh-high socks (or they're supposed to be, but I'm really tall, so it doesn't work), and a belt that I parted from it's matching sweater.

By the way, I cut my bangs, if you noticed a difference. I hated them at first, but now I really like them. :)

Poisonous Spiders

Okay, only one spider, really. I was in a botanical garden on a field trip when I saw some random body of water I wanted to look at. Leading my friends, I walked right between two trees around three feet apart: nothing to worry about, right? Wrong. I walked directly into the web of a 3 or 4 inch long spider that happened to be black and yellow, which generally means poisonous. Chills. .
I got a bad picture of it, my camara wouldn't focus.
Arachnaphobia is healthy.
Here are some flower pictures that inspired my style to that summer transition of light, flowy things. I'm sorry, I don't have any outfit pictures because my camara is currently MIA. But when I do find it, I will post some simple DIYs that can spruce up or completely gut a piece that could improve the look of an outfit. (Doesn't it sound like I'm on a diet pill infomercial?)

Broken Nets

As my sister and I took pictures, I saw the coolest soccer net and I immediately began to pose with it. Well, slight malfunction. I accidently pulled the bars apart. No worries, I fixed it immediately and, in my defense, someone stole the screws that hold it together. So, not my fault. Also, I love this scarf with a passion. Observe:

I wore striped hot pink polo, a white mesh tank under, loose cargo shorts, and, of course, a floral scarf.

Little White Dress

Normally, I'm opposed to white things unless there's an element of black somewhere else in the outfit, but the dress dress below is jest so light and pretty, but not my normal style. In my defense, I wore it to church a few weeks ago now (I'm so behind in posting. . .). I have to give props (does anyone know what 'props' are?) to the designer, Lily Pulitzer. It looks fantastic. You might not be able to see it, but there is some beastly wonderful embroidery on the sides of it.

The Funniest Sign of Your Life

Observe the street sign and tell me what is wrong:

Blue embroidered dress tucked into a denim mini-skirt, with a white sweater, and pink tights.
Lately, I look in my closet and my dresser and find my clothing painfully limited to very few choices. I don't wear at least three-quarters of my clothing and probably more, as I never really liked them and don't know why I bought them. I told my mother this and she nearly had a cow. I love her, but really, "You have so many clothes!" It's true, but as I tried to explain, I have few that I can wear. I was contemplating a rumage sale and using the money from that to finance new clothing, but that is not permitted in my area and I really wanted to talk to the putuckuses who made that law. I could make an ebay account to sell my junk. . .

People Stare When You Wear Something Cool. . .

And that's okay! It's perfectly acceptable to stare at me when I'm wearing an amazing outfit! Now, I might question the sanity of people when they stare at me when I'm not wearing something amazing. I went to a grocery store the other day wearing this 'cool' outfit. I mean it wasn't my best, but I think people just have the tendency to stare at those people with slashed clothes. I mean people were staring staring. And it was getting on my nerves, so I got my deli sliced turkey and rushed my mother so we could leave soon.
Maybe it looked untasteful, tacky, just bad? You tell me:
I wore a white tee shirt denim mini-skirt, dark grey tights, and a DIYed yellow scrap vest.

Too Dark for Outside

Yes my picture is taken in my room this time. I'm super behind on my posts. This is one of three outfits still on my camera. I never get to go on the computer. . . I believe I wore this on Friday, yes, for setting up and putting on a play. I had to wear this thing on my head that messed with my hair the one day I actually put any effort into it at all and I, no I'm sorry, my sister corrected me, she took these pictures after we (meaning my family) got back home and it was too dark to
go to the great outdoors *sad face*.

I wore a lace tee shirt, Target, over a purple tee, Michael's, and straight-legged jeans from American Eagle.
This is what I meant by good hair (for me anyway).

Alone on the Swings

I've been feeling very goth-y lately and I have no idea why. But, it produced a very cool outfit (though it's more rocker girl than goth girl). I've been feeling uninspired lately, but don't worry, there will be more pictures coming your way now that I have a new iPod to inspire me. I used to carry around a CD player all the time. Anyway, this is what I wore Friday, I think it was Friday. . . No, this is what I wore on Saturday:

I wore a plaid jcpenny skirt, sister's black tee, my thrifted sweater (have I mentioned how much I love that thing?), and DIYed lace socks (were tights, cut off top part to make really tall, loose socks).

A Take on Aberzombies

I absolutely LOVE to wear my hot pink tights. All day, I'm followed by stares that are plainly saying something to the effect of, "Is she insane?" I love those stares.
Now, about the title. I have nothing against people who always wearing a tee from Abercrombie, Hollister, or anywhere else where one buys boring clothes. It's just not very fun to look at, you know. But if you wear things from those stores in a different way than the norm, go ahead! In fact, that's just what I did today I wore an American Eagle t-shirt under something. Observe:

I wore an AE t-shirt, sister's blue flowy top, pink tights, and a fabric scrap necklace and bracelets(scraps from AC Moore).
Here is a crow on a satellite dish for your enjoyment!

Sunday, March 29, 2009

I wore a floral 60s shaped dress from JC Penny's and a sweater I found thrifting.

Normally, I don't start off a post with pictures, normally I give you some pointless story about my day. Nothing funny happened to me to day. Or maybe I was in a bad mood so I couldn't see the humor. Anyway something funny happened to me the day before yesterday. I was with Renata and Gabriel (of Intreegue) and we were in a resturant undoing the small knit of these fabric scraps, when people we don't even know come up to us and started asking us strange things about what we were doing. These children were asking us why we make our own clothes. We told them we only do sometimes, but , I told them, it was because we are amish (Gabriel's cell phone had been on the table). It was a very pointless, but quite entertaining. We were laughing our heads off as soon as they left. Thinking about it makes me feel much happier. :)

Ducks of the Dead

When I was posing for my sister to take pictures of me, these two ducks start coming near us, blocking us from the lake near our photo shoot. We were okay with it and we told them that we didn't have food (as if they could understand us) and as we were finishing we were walking along the lake and the mother duck (I think it was) was waddling along behind us. I thought she was following, but when we stopped to take a picture of her, the daddy duck, and the baby duck we had spotted in the lake, she kept going, but we managed to get pictures of them all. The mom had murder written on her face so I ran and my sister came behind me.
Never cross a wild duck.
